An unexpected matchup between two very different teams from opposite ends of the country pitted two teams that, despite their differences, had similar paths to get to the final round. Both CSU Fullerton and the University of Tennessee pulled out one-goal wins over conference rivals in the Elite Eight, and then won one-goal thrillers with less than 10 seconds left in the Final Four.]]>
Let’s set the scene for the DI National Championship game: On one side is Lindenwood, a team who, despite their lengthy pedigree, was looking to get back to their former glory.
